Preserved egg industry crackdown-China Beat-June 17

It has become the latest food scandal in China as state-run media have pounced on the preserved egg industry.  Last Friday, authorities shut down 30 plants producing preserved eggs in Nanchang county of central Jiangxi province after it was exposed that industrial copper sulfate was being used as an additive.
